Middle school and junior high are pivotal points in student learning and confidence in mathematics. BlueStreak’s comprehensive, research-based suite of fluency tools provides high-quality, evidence-based instruction to all students.
BlueStreak’s adaptive engine diagnoses weaknesses in student fluency to identify critical learning gaps and accelerate all students toward grade-level proficiency and beyond. Plus, low lift intervention tools make bridging the gap easier for educators.
BlueStreak’s fluency 2.0 approach means building not only fact fluency, but conceptual understanding and procedural fluency. That’s why we extend learning beyond whole numbers to develop number sense with fractions and decimals.
Student engagement isn’t a nice-to-have; it’s a need-to-have, increasing student learning and confidence while reducing math anxiety.
Space-centric learning games that mirror the ones students play outside of school
Competitive and cooperative multiplayer learning games
Single-player learning games
Differentiated for personalized learning

With less focus on fluency in recent years and the lingering learning loss from pandemic years, it’s more important than ever for educators to identify and remediate gaps in student learning. But teachers are also more pressed for time than ever before. That’s why BlueStreak offers a low lift, high impact approach to interventions.
BlueStreak uses a combination of short diagnostic pre-tests, multi-sensory learning cards, and adaptive learning games to identify gaps in student learning. Teachers and administrators then receive reports on the percentage of students who have mastered each module as well as drill-down reports for each student.
As students progress through BlueStreak modules and levels at a personalized pace, BlueStreak’s Intervention Grouping Tool leverages real-time data to automatically group students based on the math strategies they struggle with and indicate the immediacy of need for intervention.
Each group in the Intervention Grouping Tool indicates a corresponding mini-lesson in BlueStreak’s Strategy Log worktexts. These mini-lessons are scripted and scaffolded according to the Gradual Release model to eliminate the need for additional planning time and enable teachers to address student areas of weakness quickly and easily.
Following this direct instruction, students complete practice within the Strategy Log worktexts to reinforce learnings from the mini-lesson. Each section in the worktext concludes with metacognition activities that allow students to reflect and set goals in accordance with a deliberate practice model.
“Our students come to us with very different foundational skills, so when they get to middle school, they don't always have a strong knowledge of math facts, and it impedes their learning. That’s why when students are taking math in my building, I want them utilizing BlueStreak, regardless of performance level.”
The BlueStreak Math digital platform can be implemented grade- or school-wide, while Strategy Worktexts are used for more intensive intervention for Tier 2 and 3 students.
Looking for a tool that is intervention-only? Unlike other math fluency programs, BlueStreak can be purchased for as few as 20 students.
Math fluency is about more than rote memorization and speed work. It’s about the strategies and procedural fluency that foster a true understanding of foundational concepts in mathematics. That’s why we take the same proven, research-based methods we use to teach fluency with whole numbers – including multiplication and division – and apply them to higher-level math skills, including fractions and decimals.
Introduces new concepts and encourages practice with learning games
Corrects misconceptions and prompts reflection and goal-setting
To be successful in today’s math classroom, students need to develop a deep understanding of concepts and strategies with fractions and decimals. These concepts must be practiced explicitly with brief, frequent tries and then ‘rebooted’ as needed to maintain student success. That’s why we engineered BlueStreak’s content and process to follow a ‘deliberate practice’ approach that leads students to a comfort zone and builds student confidence.
BlueStreak’s comprehensive content equips students with the five foundational math skills that serve as the prerequisite for solving algebraic equations.
Fluency with basic math operations in addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
An understanding
of fractions
An understanding
of decimals
An understanding of the number line
An understanding how to find a missing number in a math equation
